As a former School Board member, Jean Quan knows that great schools require full community support. Jean led campaigns that brought $700 million to Oakland to fix school facilities, make them earthquake safe, and fund small class size and art, music, computer and library programs.

Jean will work to create partnerships with local businesses to provide vocational training and internship opportunities and work with parents, students, teachers and district leaders to support innovation and reform within the public schools.
