Asian American Political Leadership:

A Conversation with Congresswoman Judy Chu
and Oakland Mayor Jean Quan

Mayor Quan is the first woman to be elected mayor of Oakland and the first Chinese American to be elected mayor of a major American city. Having served three terms with the Oakland School Board and two terms with Oakland City Council, Mayor Quan came to office uniquely prepared to serve the city’s diverse population and address Oakland’s tough challenges.

Dr. Judy Chu has dedicated her life to serving her community; as an educator, and as an elected city and state official.  A current member of the U.S. Congress, Representative Chu continues to support
a strong and progressive agenda and promote effective leadership. Please join us on July 10th for a conversation with two dynamic Asian American leaders.
